The Board of Directors of Atchison-Holt Electric Cooperative located in Rock Port, Missouri is seeking qualified candidates to replace the General Manager who will be retiring at the end of the year.

Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years’ electric utility experience, preferably within the rural electric program and at least 5 years’ senior management experience. A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field is highly preferred. Candidates must have broad electric utility management experience including such areas as finance, strategic planning, team building, member communications, and board relations. The successful candidate will have excellent people and communications skills, proven leadership ability and a strong commitment to the “cooperative principles”.

Atchison-Holt Electric Cooperative is a member-owned cooperative serving portions of Northwest Missouri. The Cooperative has 20 employees serving approximately 3,756 meters over 1,300 miles of distribution line. The Cooperative has annual revenue of approximately $8.4 million and a total utility plant of over $21.8 million. Atchison-Holt Electric Cooperative receives its wholesale power from NW Electric Power Cooperative, is also a member of the Missouri Association of Electric Cooperatives, NRECA, CFC, NISC, Co-Bank, Federated Insurance, and a Touchstone Energy Cooperative.

Rock Port, Missouri is rural community with a population of approximately 1,300, located 60 miles North of Saint Joseph, Missouri. The community offers the benefits of a small town environment, with excellent schools and access to Interstate 29.
