Economic Development
Iowa's electric cooperatives are leaders in rural development. We promote value-added agricultural enterprises, new venture start-ups, business attraction and the expansion of existing business and industry.
The Iowa Area Development Group was created in 1985 and is the economic development office for most of the state's electric cooperatives.
The cooperatives in the northeast corner of Iowa get economic development support from Dairyland Power Cooperative.
