Director, Environmental Affairs (Dairyland Power Cooperative - Wisc.)

Description

DAIRYLAND POWER COOPERATIVE, a mid-western electric generation and transmission cooperative headquartered in La Crosse, Wisconsin, wholesaling to rural electric cooperatives and municipals seeks a Director, Environmental Affairs. Responsibilities: Supervise and direct the Generation Division Environmental Programs that address air quality, meteorological, noise, solid waste, water quality, hazardous waste and analytical laboratories. Develop and implement regulatory compliance, planning, and permit acquisition programs. Create environmental policy and programs to meet company goals. Reports to Vice President, Generation.

Minimum Qualifications: Candidate should be knowledgeable in utility operations, environmental pollution control technology, monitoring, instrumentation, computer modeling, and environmental regulations. In addition, the individual should be experienced in dealing with state and federal agency personnel and submission of “expert” sworn testimony. MS in Physical Science, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Environmental Sciences preferred. Dependent upon degree, a minimum of six (6) to 10 years of relevant professional experience required. Managerial and supervisory experience is required.
