This position reports directly to the General Manager and supervises the operations personnel. A high school diploma is required, specialized training in electric utility operations is suggested. Two year technical school degree in power line work or related field is preferred. Experience may be substituted for some of the educational and training requirements.
Candidates must possess expertise in distribution system operations, planning, design of underground and overhead power lines, the National Electrical Safety Code, and safe working procedures. Candidates must also have excellent communications skills, and be able to work with a variety of computer software products.
