Manager of Engineering (Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative - Iowa)
Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative (ILEC) located near the beautiful Iowa Great Lakes/Okoboji area is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Manager of Engineering.
The Manager of Engineering must be able to effectively plan, design, direct, analyze, coordinate and manage all engineering matters related to the Cooperative’s electric power distribution system. Experience in the design, operation and maintenance of distribution systems, including structure loading, economic studies, material evaluation, planning studies, system protection, and project management is desired. Familiarity with mapping/GIS/FM, SCADA, AMR, and load management is preferred. The Manager of Engineering will report to the Vice President of Operations and Engineering and will supervise a staff of two.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering; is a licensed Professional Engineer or EIT certified and capable of obtaining an Iowa license within 2 years; and has a desired minimum of four years’ experience working for an electrical utility in an engineering capacity. Additionally, the successful candidate must possess strong analytical, computer and communication skills and also be capable of working both independently and in a team environment.
