Apprentice or Journeyman Lineman (Nishnabotna Valley REC - Iowa)
Nishnabotna Valley Rural Electric Cooperative (NVREC), a Touchstone Energy Cooperative located in Harlan, Iowa, has an immediate opening for an Apprentice or Journeyman Lineman.
This employee will work in the Operations Department and is responsible for the installation and maintenance of both overhead and underground electric distribution facilities.
Requirements:
• Must be a graduate of an approved electrical power distribution program.
• Must possess a Class A CDL and should be certified in First Aid and CPR
• Must be able to meet all safety standards set forth by NVREC standard operating procedures, OSHA, and ANSI Standards.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions as well as communicate effectively both verbally and on paper.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include heavy lifting, pole climbing, and other strenuous activities.
A pre-employment drug screening and physical will be required.
Position level and wages will depend on training and experience of the applicant.
