Plant Manager (Corn Belt Cooperative - Iowa)
This position is responsible for managing a 38 MW coal-fired unit and an 80 MW combustion turbine located in Spencer, Iowa.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise, direct and train department personnel.
- Prepare daily, monthly and yearly work plans and schedules to maintain an efficient, reliable and economic generation plant.
- Recommend, develop and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies, material and spare parts needed in the operation of the generation plant.
- Prepare and maintain daily, monthly and yearly reports as required. Prepare work orders, requisitions, job tickets and other applicable paper work in accordance with established procedures.
- Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all equipment and structures.
- Develop a yearly plant operation, maintenance and capital budget.
Must possess a high degree of knowledge about generation plant operations, operating systems and electrical systems.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field plus five years working experience in a power generation station. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Employees are required to live within 20 miles of the plant.
