President/CEO (Minnesota)

Coop (headquartered in Albert Lea, Minnesota) seeks experienced leader.  Position available immediately.  Cooperative is a member of the Dairyland Power Cooperative system. 

Will report to seven member Board.  Coop has staff of 32 employees, 2,000 miles of line and approximately 6,000 meters.  Over 50 percent of cooperative’s load is from large C&I customers.

Education and Experience:
A four year degree in finance, engineering, or related degree with minimum of eight (8) years of progressive upper level management (supervisory) experience in a utility/utility related environment is required.  Must have knowledge of finance/budgeting, power supply, economic development, and engineering/operations areas.  Prefer REC experience (union environment) and MIP graduate.  Applicant must have excellent communications, leadership and customer service skills.  Community involvement is an expectation.

Will consider experienced utility leader (non-degree) who has fourteen (14) years of experiences outlined above. 

Selected candidate must relocate to within a 30 minute response time to the cooperative’s headquarters.
