Manager of Substation Design - Power System Engineering
Power System Engineering, Inc. (PSE) has an opening in our Madison, WI office for a Manager of Substation Design. The Manager of Substation Design will be managing PSE’s substation engineers and CAD staff. The successful candidate shall also be able to develop budgetary estimates, develop engineering proposals, and write technical specifications and RFPs. The candidate may also make occasional presentations at various industry conferences and oversee the bidding process for new engagements and scopes of work. Travel is required to client sites for work on an as needed basis. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
Minimum qualifications include a BSEE or MSEE degree. A minimum of 10 years with demonstrable growth in the electric utility industry is required. Individuals must be either a registered Professional Engineer or meet the eligibility requirements to become registered. The candidate must also be self-motivated, be able to grasp concepts quickly and have an entrepreneurial outlook. The successful candidate will seek to expand the scope of his or her practice area and/or grow that practice into new areas.
