Iowa was one of the first states to participate in then-Senator Lyndon Johnson’s idea to send young people to Washington D.C., to learn about government in action. Since then, the Rural Electric Youth Tour has brought more than 40,000 students from all over America to our nation’s capital to participate in this unique program. |
