Senator Grassley to Hold Public Meetings in Iowa, April 17-21, 2006
Senator Grassley will hold town hall meetings April 17-21, 2006, in the following communities: Humboldt, Pocahontas, Storm Lake, Cherokee, LeMars, Ida Grove, Sac City, Rockwell City, Sioux City, Des Moines, Atlantic, Corning, Red Oak, Bedford, Clarinda, Sidney, Glenwood and Council Bluffs.
Grassley will tour Jet Company in Humboldt and meet with the Sioux City Area College Republicans and employees from the Children's Square Academic Center in Council Bluffs. He will also host his live, monthly cable television call-in show.
"Representative government requires the type of dialogue that these meetings are all about," Grassley said. "My annual meeting with county residents allows me to share with Iowans what I'm doing in Washington and hear their views on issues that are important to them. I take the common sense input I receive back to Washington on behalf of my constituents."
Grassley said that he hopes many area residents will attend his meetings and share their views with him. He said that these meetings will be a good opportunity for him to take questions from Iowans on any subject.
