Energy Efficiency Forum - Nov. 14-16, 2005
The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) Forum on Energy Efficiency in Agriculture, organized in cooperation with Iowa Energy Center and Iowa State University, University Extension, will be held November 14 - 16, 2005, in Des Moines, Iowa at the Embassy Suites Hotel - On the River.
The Forum will focus on advancing programs and policies that can help the agricultural community realize the benefits of a more efficient use of energy in agricultural operations.
The ACEEE Forum on Energy Efficiency in Agriculture will also focus on issues related to increasing the sustainability of the agriculture sector, with an emphasis on improving energy efficiency. It will highlight energy efficiency technologies, policies, and actions that can contribute to more sustainable agriculture production in the U.S.
The Forum will offer general panels and interactive session topics such as:
The organizers also see this as the beginning of a discussion of agriculture and energy ideas for the 2007 Farm Bill.

- Stimulate additional research on technologies, products, social aspects, and policies required to achieve agriculture energy efficiency
The organizers also see this as the beginning of a discussion of agriculture and energy ideas for the 2007 Farm Bill.
