Job Details
Corn Belt Power Cooperative has a need for an apprentice electrician (substation) at our Hampton, Iowa location. A successful candidate will assist in performing all jobs associated with the operation, maintenance and construction of electrical, distribution and transmission facilities. Some of the duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist in performing all jobs associated with the operation, maintenance and construction of electrical distribution facilities.
- Assist in performing all jobs associated with the operation, maintenance and construction of transmission and distribution facilities.
- Communicate and understand the handling of all switching operations.
- Follow work plans requiring coordination with member cooperatives, local power systems or other departments within the Cooperative.
Requirements
This position is required to live within 15 road miles of the Hampton location.
Prior electrical courses or experience is required.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
