Western Iowa Power Cooperative (WIPCO) is seeking a qualified Lineworker to join our team based in Denison, Iowa. This position is open immediately and will remain open until filled.

WIPCO is a member-owned rural electric distribution cooperative serving nearly 3,500 members across 2,100 miles of line in west central Iowa.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Starting Wage: $35.33-$50.50 depending on apprentice or journeyman status

Requirements

Position Requirements:

Completion of an approved Power Line Program
Must be enrolled in an accredited journeyman apprenticeship program and have achieved at least 3rd-year apprenticeship status
Journeyman Lineworker status is highly preferred
Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality member service
Class A CDL and First Aid/CPR certification required
Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test
Willingness to relocate within 30 minutes of the Denison office to meet required response time

This role requires availability during all weather conditions, and may include on-call, after-hours, weekend, holiday, and emergency work.
