Job Details

The Cooperative has an immediate opening for an apprentice or journeyman substation serviceperson at our WILTON location.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: provide full and efficient service related to all of the Cooperative electrical wiring, substations, switching stations, and associated apparatus; to assist with maintenance of communications equipment; to perform similar and less skilled work as required to the end that effective service is furnished to Cooperative members; and to carry an equitable share of the workload.

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a line school and able to successfully complete the Eastern Iowa Light and Power Cooperative Apprentice Program. Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.  Must possess the necessary skills required to accomplish tasks assigned.

Background and pre-employment physical and illegal substance test are required.
