We are expanding our Member Service team! Western Iowa Power Cooperative (WIPCO) is currently seeking applications to fill an Electrician position at our Denison, Iowa office. This position will be available immediately or until position is filled. WIPCO is a rural electric distribution cooperative with approximately 2,100 miles of line and serves nearly 3,500 member-owners in West Central Iowa.
Additional duties will include, but not limited to, master panels, water heaters, electric motors, lighting, generators and solar. We will train the right individual on these duties.
Necessary tools for the position are provided.

Requirements
Applicant must hold a valid Iowa electrical license and have knowledge of overhead and underground wiring. Must be willing to learn the HVAC trade including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electric HVAC equipment including ductwork.
Must be able and available during any and all weather conditions, to work on-call duties after hours, weekends, holidays, evening and other times outside normal duty hours to assist in service restoration and/or other emergencies that may arise. Travel may be required for solar installation.
A valid driver’s license with Class A CDL required. Employee must live or be willing to relocate to within twenty-five (25) minutes’ driving time of the Cooperative’s Denison Service Center. Electrician must be able to operate bucket and digger trucks, run trencher, backhoe, and cable plow.
Pre-employment/post job offer physical examination and drug test required.
