Energy Advisor - Eastern Iowa Light & Power Cooperative, Wilton

Eastern Iowa REC is looking for an Energy Advisor to join our team to play a pivotal role in helping provide our 18,600 members with affordable, reliable, and safe electrical service. The Energy Advisor will work with members to increase awareness and participation in programs and services including community solar, energy storage and beneficial electrification.

The Energy Advisor will receive hands-on training in a supportive and collaborative environment.

ENERGY ADVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and market energy programs and service business opportunities that benefit participating members and the cooperative community. This includes but is not limited to developing and actively participating in special events, public presentations, marketing promotions, meetings, and other supportive activities.

• Advise on electric energy markets, renewable energy development milestones, sustainability impact, market trends, and resources.

• Manage energy products and service offerings, including planning, development, implementation, and ongoing operation.

• Document and perform technical analysis for members and key accounts associated with the efficient use of energy.

• Serve as a trusted advisor and possess a deep understanding of current and emerging opportunities with energy efficiency, distributed generation and rate design concepts, best practices, and assessment /measurement.

• Assist with the installation of energy-saving products and meters.

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with members and trade partners to facilitate beneficial electrification.

• Maintain current working knowledge of applicable state and national electrical codes.

• Attend and actively engage in safety meetings, conferences, workshops, and other educational trainings.

• Maintain safety standards and awareness. Responsible for compliance with current safety standards.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
