NORTH WEST REC has a JOB OPENING for a JOURNEYMAN and/or APPRENTICE ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION POWER LINE WORKER in our Ida Grove Service Center

North West REC is currently looking for a full-time journeyman and/or apprentice power line worker for our Ida Grove Service Center.  North West REC is a rapidly growing rural electric cooperative in a progressive community with numerous amenities.

Duties will include the construction and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines. 

An excellent benefit package is available.

Requirements

The successful applicant must have a degree in power line training from a technical college.  Prior power line experience is required for the journeyman position, and prior power line experience is preferred for the apprentice position. Applicants should be able to operate basket trucks, digger derricks, and related equipment. Position requires heavy lifting, climbing, and other strenuous activities. A CDL is required.
