Harrison County Rural Electric Cooperative has an immediate opening for a journeyman or apprentice line worker.

Requirements

Requirements for the position include a thorough working knowledge of electricity including overhead and underground electric distribution systems. Electric line worker school or power line technician training is preferred but depth of experience and/or demonstrated skills and proficiency may also be considered. Possession of a valid Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required. Familiarity with the operation of both digger derrick and basket trucks is also required. A thorough understanding of electrical safety procedures and familiarity with OSHA requirements is also highly recommended.

A post-offer, pre-employment medical examination will be required. The successful candidate will possess strong oral and written communication skills and must be able to work well with others.
