Raccoon Valley Electric Cooperative is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Member Services – Energy Advisor to join our Member Services team. This position supports energy efficiency, member engagement, and marketing programs that benefit our cooperative members and community. You'll be the face of the co-op, guiding members through energy decisions, providing expert advice, and promoting our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for members with energy questions or concerns.
Conduct residential and commercial energy audits and analyze high-bill complaints.
Promote energy efficiency programs and rebate opportunities.
Provide information on HVAC systems, lighting, electric appliances, and renewable energy options.
Represent the Cooperative at community events, meetings, and local organizations.
Support Key Accounts with billing inquiries, energy-saving strategies, and technical services.
Collaborate with the Communications Department to develop energy-related content.
Support load management and conservation efforts.
Assist with service disconnections, billing notices, and field visits when necessary.

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Valid driver's license.
Current first aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
Excellent customer service and communication skills—written, verbal, and public speaking.
Knowledge of electrical systems, energy conservation technologies, and HVAC/building practices.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

May require irregular hours, including occasional evening meetings and emergency outages.
Some overnight travel required.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in various weather, and navigate uneven terrain.
Activities include standing, climbing, bending, and using hand tools or testing equipment.
