Access Energy Cooperative is an electric distribution cooperative serving members in parts of 10 counties in southeast Iowa. We pride ourselves on a strong safety culture and developing a family environment while providing training opportunities for self-development. Access Energy Cooperative is seeking candidates for a Safety Director position. The successful candidate will be instrumental in all aspects of the safety culture.
What you will do:
- Present safety education material internally and externally.
- Perform job observations.
- Investigate accidents.
- Administer the Apprenticeship program.
- Ensure Cooperative meets necessary compliance requirements.
Access Energy Cooperative is an EOE.
Requirements
What you need to have:
- Journeyman Lineman classification.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in electrical industry.
- Possess strong presentation and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and willing to learn industry specific software.
- Commercial Drivers License
- Familiarity with NESC and OSHA regulations.
Pre-employment drug screening will be required.
