Job Title: System Administrator
Incumbent:

Location: Boone Administrative Office
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The System Administrator shall maintain and improve the technical systems of the cooperative to ensure all employees have the technology they need to complete their work and the cooperatives important files and information remain safe and operate properly.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
NOTE: The following are the major responsibilities of this position. They are not intended to cover each aspect of the position, as the scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of the Cooperative. The basic requirement of every position is to perform all tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
- Exceptional knowledge of NISC functions including but not limited to workflows/service orders/AppSuite, troubleshooting.
- Be familiar with implementation and troubleshooting of SCADA
- Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems i.e. printers, tablets, computers, software, etc.
- Handle new equipment rotation or requests for computers, docks, monitors, keyboards, mice, OWL, etc.
- Implement and monitor security measures. i.e. KnowB4
- New computer, smartphone, iPad setup and coordination
- Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer, tablet, printer, video conferencing, VeriFone’s, software’s that may pertain to IT.
- Work with vendors to maintain security, and function ability of software, GPS units, etc.
- Install and update cooperative software and hardware, maintain licensing as needed.
- Provide training to employees
- Utilize and monitor Web Help Desk (WHD)
- Maintain and troubleshoot MCM/IVR (Multi-Channel Messenger & Interactive Voice Response)
- Manage and maintain IT networks (Servers, Firewalls, Endpoints)
- Manage and maintain Metering hardware and software (Honeywell)
- Be familiar with all areas of Office 365
- Other duties as assigned.

- Foster a safe working environment by exemplifying, communicating, and enforcing safety rules and policies.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasional work outside of normal work hours will be required. Some overnight travel for meetings.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage a range of responsibilities and competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, as well as exceptional listening skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills and business acumen.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or a comparable course of study preferable.
- Working knowledge of relevant operating systems, software and programming
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Efficient troubleshooting abilities
- Increased knowledge of cybersecurity preferred.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stretching, and repetitive motions of the hands and fingers such as keyboarding. The operation and use of various types of standard office equipment and machinery is required. Operation of a company vehicle required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Minimal exposure to varying temperature conditions including cold below 32 degrees and heat above 100 degrees.
