Attention students! Each year, Iowa’s electric cooperatives sponsor high school students from Iowa to take part in the Iowa Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. This isn’t just a trip; it’s a chance for students to step into history, discover their voice and begin shaping the legacy they’ll leave behind.

Iowa Youth Tour will be held June 14-20, 2026. Selected students will join over 1,800 students from across the country in Washington, D.C. Together, they'll explore historic monuments and museums, meet with elected officials, and most importantly develop leadership skills, strengthen their resumes and form lasting connections with other young leaders from across America.

The best part? All expenses—travel, lodging, meals, and program costs—are covered by the sponsoring cooperative.
