Maquoketa Valley Electric Cooperative (MVEC) is seeking an experienced, safety-focused Line Foreman – Underground to lead and work alongside our underground line crew.

This is an opportunity for a skilled lineworker who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in developing others, and is ready to make an impact in a leadership role.

As a working Foreman, you will provide daily crew leadership while actively participating in the construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and restoration of electric distribution facilities. Although the position focuses primarily on underground distribution, responsibilities also include overhead linework, outage restoration, and other operational activities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily crew activities, emphasizing safe work practices, efficiency, and quality workmanship.
• Provide hands-on training, mentoring, and guidance to develop the skills and capabilities of assigned personnel.
• Perform and direct underground distribution construction, maintenance, troubleshooting, and restoration.
• Support overhead distribution work, emergency response, and outage restoration.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, contractors, and developers to ensure projects meet Cooperative standards and requirements.
